Alcohol Poisoning In PracticeWarren Eckstein

Angry leads a discussion on the pros and cons of alcohol consumption as it relates to creativity, social interaction and survival in general. The included lab work requires a valid ID to participate. NO actual alcohol will be provided.

Opening Remarks
Warren Eckstein

Welcome to Phreaknic 15. Thanks for coming out, now get to it...

Hack your brain with an arduino (Canceled)
Ed Quiggle, Jr.

We will be discussing neurohacking and how it can be done very cheap through open source DIY tech. Devices like EEG sensors, Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulators, rTMS, sound and light/dream machines, and transcranial pulsed ultrasound. Specifically I will like to demonstrate how it is possible to turn a $50 toy into a medical grade EEG sensors using an arduino, and how a Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulator can be made for under $20 in parts.

Hackers guide to pwning a pedophile
Joe Seanor

Pedophiles and predators are everywhere on the internet, and their numbers grow daily. But, itís one thing when you pwned a pedophile and made their life miserable, but it is very different when you not only pwned them, but also had them arrested by the police and then a successful prosecution by the DA. I have been doing this since 2005, and I have developed tools for investigators, LE, and the public in this area. I would like to provide in this presentation an outline of what YOU need to do in order to successfully collect the correct information, in the correct manner, and then submit it safely and anonymously to law enforcement.

Exploring Identity through Social Networking
Aestetix

After getting his Google+ account suspended twice because of the "real names" policy, aestetix decided to take a closer look into how and why we express ourselves within social media, and how, if at all, it differs from traditional media. How much of a role does identity really play in expression and free speech? We'll ask what identity means, why it is (or isn't) important, where it comes from, and where it's headed.

CREDITSEC - Next Generation Credit Card Security
Rahul Tyagi

I will be presenting my research to the Information Security Community on what I see to be the future of credit card security and would like to get feedback from the participants about my project.

Building Robust Application Security Plan
Narainder Chandwani

I will discuss the steps necessary to build a robust security plan to test web applications. It is important that the information security team has the appropriate knowledge and tools to conduct the assessment as well as to manage the application security risks across the organization. I will present a basic framework that forms the foundation of a testing program.

Famous Unsolved Codes: Updates on Kryptos and the Voynich Manuscript

It's been 20 years now, has there been any progress on that 4th section? Second, she will go over the mysterious text of the centuries-old Voynich Manuscript, including the latest research on it, and the radio-carbon dating results.

Fixing Wifi Security Once And For All
Tom Cross

The problem with wireless security is that you've got two modes. One mode provides encryption but requires authentication - you've got to know a password. The other mode is open but totally insecure. There is no way to create an encrypted open wireless LAN. Until now. At Blackhat USA some colleagues and I announced Secure Open Wireless Networking - a way to create encrypted open wireless networks using digital certificates. We released an implementation that you can start using today if you know your way around a linux machine. This talk will explain how the technology works, how to get it set up, and I'll demo it live. Hopefully, some of you will take this forward and set up your own secure open wireless networks.

Drunken Rant

Decius is gonna rant on something. It is usually entertaining and a must see tradition for the con.
